Wicker storage trunk is low cost, lightweight, and attractive and come in a variety of shapes and sizes, most of which are excellent storage. Use wicker containers adapted or designed to corral the papers in a home office or toys in the playroom. Out of the box for a practical place to store your things. Wicker goes well with most of the kitchen, but is mostly seen at home in a casual kitchen or country. A wicker basket will slide to the right in less than a counter or cabinet to organize stacks of kitchen towels or nested containers. Place a linen or cotton towel inside a wicker basket and dump the onions and garlic bulbs in it during dry storage.

Wicker Trunks

Wicker containers with handles or cutouts will hold odds and ends that do not fit anywhere else. Just like the mismatched souvenirs cups you use once a year for hot cider on Thanksgiving. Or the odd kitchen utensils you rarely see. They do the counter, but very useful in some occasions. Wicker baskets on the ladder have the shape of an “L”. And sit on a step at the bottom or top of the ladder. Throw things on them that are on the wrong floor. Each time the head up, grab the basket. And distribute its contents to the appropriate places. Next, set the basket on the last step and refill with items that belong to the ground floor.

Knitters, weavers and crochet craftsmen have a lot of bits. And bobs that roll under the sofa or pile up on a side table and without a place to be. Stashing them deep into the bottom of a closet means you will not remember them when you need them. Or cerulean pure alpaca wool. Roll up the balls. And stack them in wicker baskets in a craft corner instead. They look interesting and colorful and then, content provides the inspiration every time you take a look at them.

No more chasing balls of thread dust in the closet frame. You can stack the baskets on the shelves or simply put them in a row against a wall for easy access. Hang an old wicker basket on a bicycle on the wall in the hallway for mail. Divide it in two with a balsa wood panel for incoming and outgoing mail. Or use a couple of the baskets on a wall in the little room at the entrance to wear winter gloves, scarves and hats. In warm weather, baskets will hold sun hats, sunglasses and gardening gloves.
